Phase I Underwater Archaeological Project for the US Highway 701 Bridge Improvements, Pee Dee River, Georgetown and Horry Counties, South Carolina

SCOPE

A Phase I Submerged Cultural Resource Survey was conducted in the Pee Dee River and Lake Yauannah for this bridge improvement project. Background historical research and a magnetic and acoustic remote sensing survey were carried out to locate potential historic sites. At least four modern vehicles were found in the project area.
