SCOPE

The purpose of this inspection was to provide a visual inspection inside the firewater ground storage tank in conjunction with the 5-year certification required by the Fire Department. The use of the Video Ray Pro3-XE-GTO remotely operated vehicle (ROV) system with real time topside monitoring and operation was selected in lieu of conducting a diver investigation. This system allowed the inspection to be conducted while the tank was in operation with no risk to plant or personnel.
