LOCATE AND RECOVER THE Z-DRIVE FROM WILMINGTON TUG, TINAChristinia River, DE
CLIENTWilmington Tug, Inc. PROJECTRecovery of Z-Drive from Tug TINA SCOPEMagnetic and side scan sonar remote sensing equipment were used to locate the Wilmington Tug TINA’s Z-Drive (propeller) in the Christiana River, Wilmington, Delaware. After pin-pointing the location with remote sensing equipment, Dolan Research divers using 10-foot long stainless steel probes confirmed the unit was buried under nine feet of loose mud. Using a hand held dredge, divers then dug down to the Z-Drive and attached a lifting sling for the recovery (8/2004). |
